Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac he came with news that Apple's spring conference will take place on Tuesday, March 15. As part of this keynote, Apple should present the four-inch iPhone 5S, the iPad Air 3, and also new strap variants for the Watch. The conference is still a month and a half away, so it is possible that the date will change. However, Gurman's sources are mostly accurate, and March 15 can therefore be tentatively calculated.
The spring keynote will be Apple's first major event since last September, and Tim Cook's company could present interesting news in three product categories. The new iPhone generation is expected to arrive in September. As early as March, however, Apple could introduce its iPhone portfolio expand with iPhone 5SE, which would be the successor to the iPhone 5S and would offer current hardware while retaining the 4-inch display.
Supporters of smaller displays would therefore come to their aid, who could continue to use a compact and easy-to-use phone with one hand, but would have available performance and equipment corresponding to current standards. The iPhone 5SE is supposed to offer the A9 chip, which the iPhone 6S also uses, an improved camera with support for Live Photos and, in addition, Apple Pay. You can also count on the use of the second generation Touch ID fingerprint sensor, but 3D Touch support is said to not arrive.
The iPad Air is due for a major update. The current second generation was introduced in October 2014, and this year's iPad Air 3 is supposed to resemble the powerful and large iPad Pro in many ways, but everything will continue to take place on a 9,7-inch screen. iPad Air 3 to get Apple Pencil support and also a Smart Connector through which keyboards would connect to it. Apple would probably introduce a smaller version of its Smart Keyboard.
Following the example of the iPad Pro, the smaller Apple tablet could also get four speakers for a better audio experience, and some speculations talk about an LED flash that would make the rear camera a slightly better tool. Not yet fully confirmed reports even speculated about a 4K display and higher operating memory, which, if confirmed, would make the iPad Air 3 a really powerful tablet.
The Apple Watch should also receive news. Although their new generation is not expected to arrive until the fall with the iPhone 7, it seems that as early as March we will see improvements to the watch software and a whole range of new bands. Among them should appear new color variants of rubber sports bands, new straps from the workshop of the fashion house Hermès, as well as a space gray variant of the Milanese Loop (Milan move). In addition, there will also be a completely new series of straps made of a material that has not been used yet.
Updated on 3/2/2016 at 11.50:XNUMX am: Independent of Mark Gurman confirmed citing own sources March 15 as the date of the next keynote also John Paczkowski from BuzzFeed.
Performance and equipment up to current standards? However, even the iPhone 5S still fulfills this...
new straps for iWatch? then it will be great! , I'm looking forward!!
and I'm glad that the level of Apple's presentation has maintained its level after SJ's death, and there is no shortage of surprises and interesting things
Stupidity, the standard keynote has 1:30 hours. They would present these three things in 15 minutes.
Have you never seen any of their keynotes? These will be the statistics at the beginning, big words about the revolution and how they make the world a better place. Then comes the product part, when each presented item has to redefine its category, and finally Timík comes to say goodbye in person.
If they can make it to 1:30 they will be good :)
Don't exaggerate, usually there are always combined unreachable/marginal things that are talked about very briefly like iPhone 5c etc.
According to what I'm writing now, they want to present only marginal things. And that, in my opinion, is obvious stupidity.
These are not marginal things. This is quite important news for many users. Practically a new model of the iPhone - different from current trends and a major upgrade of the iPad Air after a long time. Then they add the fringe stuff. Although even that Macbook Pro would finally deserve a renovation.
of course these are important things.
I don't know what to expect from a company that earned more than a billion crowns (CR budget) annually...
if every year you add a new processor to the mobile phone and tablet, release a couple of colored bands for the iwatch, and maybe they will start testing the updates before the release of the update... then we will all be satisfied, right?
as I don't know what else to want from Apple, it has not been an innovative company for a long time, one has to look elsewhere for innovations (you need to go to CES), with Apple they only upgrade things with current technologies like any other company (samsung, lenovo, dell, hp,...)
These are marginal things, because all the features-conveniences already have other "PRO" models.
Or do you think that they will put something better in the Budmeric version than in the 6S?
IPad PRO, etc. already have keyboard and pen support
Budget version
For me, a "small" iPhone on a budget is not even a mistake. I just don't want the big falls. I want something that is practical, can be controlled with one hand, fits comfortably in the front pocket of the pants and doesn't matter when sitting, it's stepped on... Chap, you're an ear that has never invented anything, but after the last one, he wants them to invent absolutely revolutionary things every half of the year innovation.
The fact that it is not something that has not been seen elsewhere does not mean that it is a marginal thing. If a practically new iPhone model (different in terms of design, equipment and focus) is expected and, after a very long time, finally an upgrade of the iPad Air (where everything except the display diagonal will change), then these are definitely not peripheral things.
Will they equip them? – do you mean that it will have fewer functions than the iPhone 6s? The iPhone 5c also had that.
iPad Air - what will change there? just maybe it will be smaller than the iPad Pro.
I'm not saying that they won't be new products, but simply modifications of the PRO versions. About which everything has already been said.
I guess it's like for whom - an individual thing. I have an iPad Air 2 and an iPhone 6S, but these will be quite important upgrades for me, nothing marginal. You can have whatever opinion you want about it, but that's about it, it won't change anything. These may be minor things to you, but I don't have an iPad Pro and I don't have an iPhone 6 the size of an iPhone 4. For me, that will be a reason to buy these devices.
(You don't have these things either and you're just slapping your liver here. :-)))
I would like them to finally introduce a new generation of MacBook Pro
