We are only a few hours away from the start of today's keynote, and we are already carefully preparing to bring you all the latest information as quickly as possible. A lot is expected from this year's keynote, as we have already written, for example in this article. The iPhone X is certainly the biggest attraction, but all the products that Apple presents today will find their interested parties. Whether it's the new Apple Watch, the new Apple TV or the HomePod smart speaker. Today's keynote will take place in the Steve Jobs Theater, which is a building that is part of the new Apple Park. However, it was decided at the last minute that today's keynote will be held there.

The Venturebeat server came up with interesting information. According to information coming from the office in Cupertino, Apple applied for permission to hold this event on August 8. And it wasn't just a formality. Apple representatives requested a temporary permit to use a specific space (in this case the Steve Jobs Theater) for a public event. This permit is a kind of confirmation that the building is fit to host some kind of public event, even though construction is still underway. The entire auditorium had to pass an inspection in order for Apple to get this permission.

Which also happened, but at the earliest possible date. On the document, which you can view below, the permission is dated September 1, 2017. Apple must have known this unofficially a day earlier, as it sent out invitations with the text "Let's meet at our place" to journalists already on August 31.

It is evident from the document that the entire complex is still under construction. However, it is not specified here what still needs to be done. However, due to the permission, it is clear that all security systems must work at 100%, otherwise Apple would not get the permission and the keynote would have to be held elsewhere. We won't have to wait too long for first impressions of the new premises. The first photos should appear within the next few hours.
