Some Friday has already passed since the introduction of the first Macs with an Apple Silicon chip. In any case, from now on, Intel is trying to attract potential customers as best as possible by showing them the disadvantages of these Apple computers with the M1 chip. At the same time, we saw the introduction of the beta version of Project Blue. With the help of this solution, it is possible to connect the iPad to a Windows computer and use it as a graphics tablet.

Intel has launched a website comparing PCs with Macs

This week we informed you about an ongoing campaign from Intel, in which classic computers equipped with processors from the Intel workshop are compared with Macs. Justin Long even features in a series of commercials that are part of this campaign. We can recognize this from the iconic apple commercials "I'm a Mac" from 2006-2009, when he played the role of Macu. During this week, the recognized processor manufacturer even launched a special website in which it again points out the shortcomings of the new Macs with the M1.

Intel claims on the website that the results of the vaunted benchmark tests of Macs with chips from the Apple Silicon family do not translate into the real world and simply do not keep up when compared to computers equipped with 11th generation Intel Core processors. This giant primarily points to the fact that the PC is significantly more suitable for the needs of the users themselves, both in terms of hardware and software needs. On the other hand, Macy with the M1 only offers limited support for accessories, games and creative applications. The decisive factor after that is that Intel offers its users the option of choice, which is something that Apple users, on the other hand, do not know.

Other shortcomings of apple computers include the absence of a touch screen, instead of which we have an impractical Touch Bar, while classic laptops are often so-called 2-in-1, where you can "convert" them into a tablet in an instant. At the end of the page, there is a performance comparison of Topaz Labs applications, which work with artificial intelligence, and the Chrome browser, both of which run significantly faster on the mentioned 11th generation Intel Core processors.

Astropad Project Blue can turn an iPad into a PC graphics tablet

You may have heard of Astropad. With the help of their application, it is possible to turn an iPad into a graphics tablet for working on a Mac. Today, the company announced the launch of a beta version of Project Blue, which will allow users of classic Windows PCs to do the same. With the help of this beta, artists can fully rely on their Apple tablets for drawing, when the program will mirror the desktop directly on the iPad. Of course, there is also Apple Pencil support, while classic gestures can be adapted to functions in Windows according to the user's needs.

In order for this to be possible, the iPad must of course be connected to a Windows computer, which can be done via a home Wi-Fi network or a USB interface. The solution requires at least a desktop or laptop with the operating system Windows 10 64-bit build 1809, while the iPad must have at least iOS 9.1 installed. Project Blue is currently available for free and you can sign up to test it here.
