Tim Cook during the announcement financial results confirmed for the fiscal quarter of 2019 that Apple plans to officially release its Apple Card credit card as early as August. Thousands of employees are currently testing the card and the company is preparing for its early debut. Cook did not reveal the specific date, but it can be assumed that it will be as soon as possible.

The Apple Card was created in cooperation with the banking giant Goldman Sachs and is, of course, part of the Apple Pay payment system and the related Wallet application. However, Apple will also release the card in a physical form, which, in accordance with its famous philosophy of elaborate design, has taken great care. The card will be made of titanium, its design will be strictly minimalist and you will find only a minimum of personal data on it.

The card can be used for traditional transactions as well as for payments via Apple Pay, while Apple will offer customers rewards for paying with both methods. For example, cardholders receive a three percent cashback for purchases at the Apple Store, and two percent cashback for payments via Apple Pay. For other transactions, the cashback is one percent.

Cashback is paid to cardholders on a daily basis, users can find this item on their Apple Cash card in the Wallet application and can use the amount for purchases, as well as for transferring to their own bank account or sending to friends or loved ones. In the Wallet application, it will also be possible to track all expenses, which will be recorded and divided into several categories in clear, colorful graphs.

For the time being, the Apple Card will only be available to residents of the United States, but there is a certain probability that it will gradually expand to other countries as well.
