Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), reportedly in talks with Beats Electronics about the fact that the company producing the iconic headphones Beats by Dr. Dre bought out for 3,2 billion. At least that's the kind of news that surfaced late last week and immediately flooded the internet. Although the acquisition has still not been confirmed by either party, other reports are emerging. Beats Electronics co-founders Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre - they should settle in the highest managerial seats at Apple...

The newspaper was the first to report on the planned giant acquisition Financial Times, now follows up on his message Billboard, according to which, citing sources familiar with the negotiations, the new and high-profile reinforcements of the Apple team could be presented in less than a month at the WWDC developer conference.

The two key men who co-founded Beats Electronics in 2008 could become one of the biggest treasures that Apple will acquire thanks to a possible acquisition. According to some sources, the deal could be officially announced as early as this week, but it is also possible that the two sides will wait for all the formalities to be completed, which will take some time.

However, many are already clear that if Apple buys Beats Electronics, Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre will move into the company's top management. It is not yet entirely clear what positions these will be, but Billboard writes that Jimmy Iovine should get the key to Apple's entire music strategy. So he would also look after relations with publishers and record companies, which is something where both a successful music manager and a film producer are like a fish to water.

Until now, Eddy Cue was in charge of iTunes and related matters at Apple, however times are changing, sales of albums and songs on iTunes are starting to decline and it is necessary to adapt. Perhaps executive director Tim Cook is also aware of this, and if he were to approach Jimmy Iovine with this task, it is hard to say whether he could have chosen a more qualified person.

About the possible new role of the rapper Dr. Dre (real name Andre Young), who can also offer important connections in the music world as well as his name as a brand, is still not well known. But if he and Iovine were indeed introduced during the WWDC keynote, for Dr. Dre wouldn't be a premiere. He already appeared on stage ten years ago, when he congratulated Steve Jobs on the launch of the iPod and the iTunes Store via video.
