Ondrej Holzman A week ago Apple he announcedthat he will change the prices from euros to Czech crowns in all his stores and he did so on the night from Wednesday to Thursday. For Czech crowns, we can buy apps in the App Store, music and movies in iTunes, books in the iBookstore, Apple Music subscriptions or iCloud storage.
We already know how much apps will cost in the App Store when they switch to crowns they knew. And developers can really use alternative price levels, so the cheapest applications in the Czech App Store that are not free can be found for as little as 9 CZK.
The previous base rate of €1,09 (previously €0,99) is now CZK 29. Even after the conversion, Apple kept the same currency format, including two places after the decimal point, where, however, there is always a zero in the case of pennies.
Compared to our assumptions, Apple Music subscriptions and iCloud storage differ only slightly:
- Apple Music, individual - CZK 149 per month
- Apple Music, family - CZK 229 per month
- iCloud 50GB – CZK 25 per month
- iCloud 200GB – CZK 79 per month
- iCloud 1TB – CZK 249 per month
- iCloud 2TB – CZK 499 per month
So in the end I have to take back the criticism and admit that Apple used a pretty good conversion rate.

They switched to crowns and…..raised the price :-D Perfect move.
