A new Facebook app update finally adds native resolution support for the latest Apple devices. Specifically, these are iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and iPad Pro 2018.

Until this time, the Facebook application ran on the mentioned devices in compatibility mode and therefore did not use the full resolution of the new iPhones and iPads. Native support means that we can finally enjoy Mark Zuckerberg's social network in a resolution of 2688 × 1242 pixels in the case of the iPhone XS Max and 1792 × 828 on the iPhone XR.

This way, you will see approximately 10% more content in the Facebook app than when the app was running in the previously mentioned compatibility mode, and the text will be sharper. In the case of the iPad Pro, the update removes the black bars and both the 12,9-inch and 11-inch versions will display the app in full screen.

Facebook thus managed to add native resolution support for a total of four "new" Apple devices after approximately five months.
