V March this year, Apple introduced a video editing application Clips. Now he has greatly expanded its possibilities with new graphics and Disney characters.

Clips work mainly for creating shorter, fun videos ideal for sharing on social networks (square videos are best for Instagram). It allows you to easily compose clips, trim them and edit them with filters, add subtitles created automatically by analyzing the voice in the video, etc. Instead of trying to create your own social network, which Apple has already failed several times, Clips focuses exclusively on creating content.

The new update of the application, containing dozens of new introductory graphics and titles, expands the possibilities of creativity quite significantly. The content of the clips itself can be enriched with characters from Disney and Pixar films - of course Mickey Mouse and Minnie, the heroes Toy Story and not even Inside Out (In head).

Although it requires a bit of imagination, the implementation of Disney characters can be interpreted as the first indication of the growing importance of augmented reality in iOS, for which Clips could be an ideal platform to popularize, in a similar way to Snapchat masks.

For greater integration of augmented reality, Clips would also be suitable due to its rapidly growing popularity. In the first four days of its release, it was downloaded a million times and since then, according to information 9to5Mac, gained over a million monthly active users.

In addition to the new graphics, the Clips update also brought several tweaked and new controls, such as a special "live caption" editing button and a share button on the main video creation screen.
