After a year and a half of preparations and consultations, the first Apple Shop in Central and Eastern Europe opened in Prague's Holešovice. Although three other stores in the Czech Republic boast this designation, Alza's Apple Shop is unique in terms of its concept and service.
Before eight o'clock in the morning, dozens of eager customers lined up in front of the Holešovice showroom of the largest domestic seller of Apple products, who were lured by Alza to a discount of up to 15%. The first enthusiasts admitted to the new Apple Shop, which in the spirit of the "store within a store" concept in Alza is non-violently placed between the sales points of Samsung or Microsoft, were greeted - following the pattern of the ceremonial openings of official apple stores around the world - with applause.
The well-known actor Martin Stránský, who narrated an audiobook about Steve Jobs, ceremonially cut the tape after the opening speech, and several tables with iPods, iPads, MacBooks and iMacs were suddenly surrounded by dozens of people. "We couldn't use just any tables, everything took place under Apple's strict supervision," confirmed the supervision of the Californian company's PR manager Alzy Šárka Jakoubková, adding that Apple carefully checked everything before the actual opening, as is its good practice.
After all, it is the direct participation of Apple employees in the operation of the store that distinguishes the Apple Shop from Apple Premium Reseller, even if the customer himself practically does not know the difference when he comes to the store. In the Apple Shop, you can expect not only an offer of a complete portfolio of apple products, but also qualified staff trained directly by Apple employees and full warranty and post-warranty service, which Alza deals with authorized partners.
Up to fifteen percent discounts on selected computers, iPhones and iPads you can use Alza in the Holešovice showroom until 20 p.m. or until stocks run out. Get a five percent discount today with the discount code "APPLE5" on Apple products also on the website.
The three air conditioners on the wall look pretty awful and I think they detract from the whole space. By the way, it is nice that there are APRs in every major city, Apple Shops are being created, etc., but it can be said that even thanks to this, Apple is not in a hurry to open an Apple Store in the Czech Republic, because there is already so much competition that it is worth it for them it's just not worth it.
Not true. The reason why Apple hasn't set foot here yet with its Apple Store is certainly not because there is too much competition. The moment the Apple Store would grow here, APR can close up shop.
And what is the reason? Resp. what do you think the reason is? Insufficient concentration of people per square meter? At one time there were "rumors" that an Apple Store could be opened in Prague at the Main Railway Station in the area of Fantova's cafe.
We are small and unimpressive, Apple Stores are mostly in big and "rich" countries.
I wrote it really idiotically, but maybe it makes sense...
Casem must be here, but for Apple it is useless...
Well, I don't think so at all. from the point of view of CR - YES, we are a poor and uninteresting market, but from the point of view of the mere threshold, the situation is different. An awful lot of rich tourists visit Prague every year, and even those who are empty have incomes similar to Western countries. that's why I think that an Apple store could be a minimlane in Prague. but on the other hand, it is unnecessary when there is an apple store in Dresden within reasonable driving distance. hard to say.
In my opinion, tourists prefer to buy it at home...
It doesn't change the fact that yes, he could be in Prague :/
I do not know. You go on vacation and buy a Mac there for CZK 35000 ??? Tourists will definitely buy it at their place of residence rather than on vacation, where they go for something completely different. Otherwise, how can Apple approve this. IN
piggy bank Apple shop. This makes it clear that it has nothing to do with the Apple Store
common. Nice on the inside, shame on the outside.
And that's exactly it Dear Sir, our vs. foreign mentality - we, at least most of the people I know, live "from hand to mouth" while the foreign client, unlike us "tourists" again, goes on vacation and doesn't exactly have money to spend, but has money in his account and if it's worth it to him - he'll buy TAX FREE, etc. But there's another problem: we refuse to learn languages or we don't speak enough at the level, and then we can't expect them to buy something like this from us, that is, to conclude - if we were on the level of Western countries both by education and thinking and they stopped complaining "that we are Czechs" we would be somewhere else :) Maybe I'm writing in metaphors but I believe it's understandable and that's exactly why the Apple Brand Store isn't here either :)
You mostly probably refused to learn Czech, you Ů(?!)trato, Ů(?!)read and Ů(?!)straighten. You can't even be serious.
Hello, thank you in advance for your observations, yes, it is true that my speech, which you see, is written from the phone and for a quick meeting in public transport - however, I do not think that this is the content of this discussion and certainly not my person, I expressed an opinion but he is not valued as such here, on the contrary, one meets more here
People who feel the need to ridicule or harm someone in any way - I explained why my post is the way it is (you couldn't know). The point was to express an opinion and if we go into detail, at least I have the decency to sign my full name rather than anonymously :)
This applies especially to Mr. "Czech", who has the feeling that we herded Geese together, this is not the case, so instead of criticism, kindly take a course in polite behavior.
My opinion is unchanging and we could take this debate to the extreme - Czech = swear word in Europe and unfortunately I sometimes have the urge to be ashamed that I am one of them. (Not always for diggers) but that's how we built it, so we have it :)
Good day to all J.Š.
Are you really Czech? At the same time you write like a Tatar :(
Mr. Jindřich, also use the word "geese" in the middle of the sentence rather with a small h, unless you are sitting in public transport again, or you are not trying to metahumor on the topic of the approaching anniversary of the burning of Master Jan.
You apply the principles of collective guilt and shame your country. Typical characteristics of latent collaborators, i.e. the nation's moral waste. Allow me to be ashamed of the state of your being.
Jaroslav
I don't usually get involved in discussions, but I can't help it, Jindřich. I find it insulting when someone who belongs to that group of "stupids" criticizes the education and thinking of our nation. Instead of learning foreign languages, try the syntax of our language first, your demeanor will certainly appear better - more on a level, as you would say. :)
Also, as I read the discussion, the problem with our nation is probably not education per se, but that all the uneducated people think they are the biggest experts.
Why close shop? Personally, I don't need anything that the original Apple Store will give me. There are many people who just want to buy and use the product, and for that I have either their Online Store or anyone else. The only thing I'm missing here, but you don't need a brick-and-mortar store, is the option to purchase an extended warranty without any problems. I think someone also sells it, but only at the same time as the product, if I'm not mistaken.
Have you ever complained about an apple product in CR? There you would feel the different approach and conditions in Stor, and when they send you to take it to the service center yourself, and your not cheap phone/NB is scratched on your back with the words "it was already there when you brought it to us".
I have complained several times and had no problem. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, if you buy from their online store, it's the same, isn't it?.
The management of the Czech Apple itself will tell you the exact opposite of what you wrote here :) If an Apple Store opened in the center of Prague, it would probably have a major, possibly destructive impact on the stores in the center, but the stores on the outskirts of Prague should probably not be, according to Apple concerned :)
Otherwise, of course, the article contains falsehoods, which the author certainly knows, and I also hope that he knows that there are definitely no employees directly from Apple in the Alza Shop :)
In any case, the editors could probably forgive themselves for the offensive comments in the discussion and prefer to write the full truth and not mince words.
Apple employees were already at the previous stand, here it will only expand ;-)
Is there a "Czech Apple"? I thought they only had a PR department here…
There is no Apple store yet because it is difficult to find a suitable place in Prague. Apple has a few rules. 1) Exclusivity in the town, I think no one is allowed to sell apple products for a kilometer. 2) Apple chooses locations according to two criteria, either a prominent location in a commercially attractive area or a location near a university where Apple can gain new clients. In the guilds, a more realistic file is located somewhere in the center of Prague than at CVUT or UKack. Or maybe if they find a place for the car, it will be possible to combine the two. 3) There is one big problem in Prague. memorabilia, Apple stories are precisely described in terms of design with millimeter accuracy, which means demolition even in historic buildings. This means that either Apple or memory owners will have to back down, and neither is realistic. For the same reasons, by the way, the Apple store is not in Vienna. Pamatkari simply stopped it between Hofburg and Stefanplatz. As far as I remember, Apple still has Prague on the list of potential places for an Apple store (At least in the data warehouse we did in Cork, Prague was marked like that, just like Viden)
For personal information only:
Apple Store versus other stores > do they offer the same goods at the same prices?
What are the ESSENTIAL differences between these two stores?
From what I can see, the prices are the same everywhere, the trained staff is also perhaps only the environment will be different.
"After all, it is the direct participation of Apple employees in the operation of the store that distinguishes the Apple Shop from Apple Premium Reseller, although the customer himself practically does not recognize the difference when he comes to the store. In the Apple Shop, you can expect not only an offer of a complete portfolio of apple products, but also qualified staff trained directly by Apple employees and a full-fledged warranty and post-warranty service, which Alza handles with authorized partners."
What is this nonsense? APR are the highest sellers in CR and Alza is not changing that. Despite the fact that APR stores are designed by Apple and certification is mandatory at APR. Please don't write such bullshit - the quality of this site is going downhill.
You know, paid PR is paid PR
Dear guest, since you are adamantly making such claims, could you please put your cards on the table and reveal what source you are coming from? Alza's Apple Shop was also designed by Apple itself, just as an aside.
Dear "editors", it is sufficient to check such information from several sources before writing an article on the Internet. I'm starting from the fact that I'm not too lazy to ask people who worked/work at APR. I will certainly be happy to answer you in Apple itself.
Nowhere do I claim that the Apple shop in Alza is not designed by Apple - of course it is.
I would also like to point out that Alza really does not have the first Apple Shop in Central and Eastern Europe, really not, but I am not here to lecture anyone and certainly not the editor of the website.
This is just a ridiculous ad that is not based on true information. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this is already an important force in what is happening here.
You are not here to teach, but you still teach, "warn" and accuse of advertising.
I would therefore also like to warn you that you are apparently not fully able to understand the written text. It already says in the headline that this is the first *big* Apple Shop (meaning in contrast to e.g. Datart) and the very first paragraph mentions a competing store.
As for Apple's "complicity" in the case of APR, it ends with the sending of guidelines, occasional mystery shopping, and indeed very occasional employee training.
Would you rather turn off the option to comment on articles here? This is so that by chance someone in the future does not dare to write their opinion here and GOD FORBIDDEN that someone does not warn you and instruct you that your article is not completely kosher.
Most commentators can have a decent discussion, and no one is saying we can't accept civilly worded criticism. (For example, the previous message on the subject of Alza was clearly modified according to the reactions.) Unfortunately, the guest's performance is not one of those.
But I'm always right. The Apple shop is just a nice stand inside a non-store. Apple approves them. Approves table materials, product layout on tables, presentation of information, etc. But at those desks there are at most assistants trained by Apple (sometimes Apple sends its employee the brigadier's file to refresh it). HP, Samsung, Nokia, Canon and others have the same stands inside the store. Try to take a look at Datart Electroworld or across the border to PCWorld, Currys, etc. The highest level of trade with Apple products is the Apple store, which is owned by Apple, all the design is accurate in terms of colors, product placement, etc. All the stories are exactly the same differed from Lidl and similar schemes, but everything is simple and clear). The second level is Apple premium resellers, which have a similar emphasis on presentation as apple story, but there are certainly possible deviations (for example, IStyle, iSetos, etc. abroad, you need CompuBee). The difference is that other products compatible with Apple (certified by Apple) can be sold here than in stores, and those stores are a little more tolerant. Then there are Apple resellers and then Apple shops (that is, tables or sales stands in electrical stores from Tesko to various data cards Electrovorldy Saturny, etc.) The service in these Apple shops is different depending on the interests of the parent store. Alza may have better service and information than Datart and Electroworld, but it cannot match iStyle or iSetos.
I think this is a really big mistake. Undoubtedly, many people buy Apple also because it is a brand with a solid image, and the sale in the Holešovice market does not belong to it, even if the store was gilded inside (which it is not). Fortunately, the nearest Apple Store is less than two hours by car from Prague.
Where, if I may ask?
Dresden.
Hello, some servers do not allow comments in advance or he will subsequently remove them... I haven't read a greater demonstration of stupidity, pettiness, nonsense and insults in a long time. I would therefore like to ask you all to discuss politely, with respect, but above all so that even a brief article can be positively enriched. Thanks.
Hello, next time please add "embarrassing advertisement" to the title of the article. You will save a lot of people their time and avoid your own ridicule…. a hundred Holzmans a week, a hundred Holzmans a week…
Hello, commercial messages on Jablíčkář can be found in the corresponding section. We regularly inform about the opening of new stores, as it brings readers discounts. (see http://jablickar.cz/istyle-reaguje-na-novy-apple-shop-15-slevami-na-pocitace-a-prislusenstvi/ )
If you like to buy at full price, you are truly unique in the Czech environment. Congratulations.
Thumb down.
I didn't care about the text, but when I read the discussion, I guessed
I am going to read it. Normal text. If some words were omitted
superlatives, nothing would have happened and he wouldn't have irritated so many readers/debaters.
I'll just add that I was at the Apple Store in LA.
I needed a card reader for my iPad. The lady I spoke to answered yes
is a Mac expert that I should ask people who make iPads. I would say similar
the screenwriters of the series Big Bang Theory also had experience, otherwise they would have become employees
They didn't load the Apple Store. But even in iStores in Zlín there are no masters. In iStyle
I again had a good experience in Brno and iStyle in Prague as well. They are
however, individual cases, nothing more!
The Apple Store is not always a pompous temple celebrating technology!
SF, LV, Vancouver … strip malls in a shopping mall. Apple Factory Store
in Cupertino - not too different from the t-shirt shop on Národní (I'm not kidding!!!).
The only one "with high ceilings" I saw was in Shanghai. They were all nice and
the comment in the discussion about air conditioning is absolutely spot on.
Well, definitely if I wander into the Alza region, then there
i will go But not purposefully, which cannot be said about the original Apple Store.
PS: I have no doubt that the Apple Store in Prague
he didn't pay. Foreign tourist in "tourist" euphoria and with a global guarantee
he does not decide whether to buy/not to buy when he wants/needs to buy. Well, me locals, either
We will accept the Apple Policy or buy something else... That we are for
Apple economically uninteresting ... no doubt about it. But that Czech customers
they want, too. Otherwise, the iPad ... would not be in Czech, etc., etc.
I would also like to join the discussion, which I hope is still going on
about Alza and their "famous" Apple shop and not about the level of Czech online
discussions, because in that case almost no one would be able to discuss. She was
I am invited to the opening of the Apple shop in Alza and already on the invitation of Alza
emphasized that this is the only Apple shop in Eastern and Central Europe.
When I asked at the scene if that meant we wouldn't have to anymore
wait months for new product launches but they will be here at the same time as Apple
sorry, I got an evasive answer.
And then also another alibi, that someone leaked this information to the world
journalist and not based on the truth. But it was pointed out to me three times that it is
a trained Apple sales person present and the tables are exactly the same as at Apple
shop.
The trained salesman was not separated from the others in any way
of salesmen running around wearing black t-shirts with an apple on them. She caught it
I am 2 of them and asked them the same question: Since I already own an iPhone 5,
why should I buy an iPhone 5S or 5C.
The first answer was very laconic - because it is prettier and the flashlight is said to be
last a while longer!! The second answer - it is newer and has a colored cover.
So - the Apple shop in Alza - that's simply what it's called
a niche in the shop where 4 massive wooden tables stand and serve you
people who know less about Apple products than you do. (yes, maybe I'm exaggerating
critical, but I imagine the sale of Apple products somewhat differently)
I don't want to say that it's better in the world, because in London, for example, they have a lot
luxury Apple store, but with a toothache you wait there for a week before it's your turn
someone will do the time, because they say they're not dying for it. You will come to our emergency room and
someone will take care of you. It's not about comparing which is better, it's about everyone
the product has a story and it should also have a certain sales style that completes that story. Yippee
Clearly, being a certified reseller requires a lot of paperwork and fulfillment
conditions, but if I were to take it my own way, I would buy products and accessories
I buy Apple once in a while and I want to enjoy it. And I'd better get to it
Istyle because I get enough information about the product and also support during
usage.
So far, the Apple shop in Alza has not convinced us that it is
something special…
Of all the vendors who were there that Friday, only those with Alzovský name tags were from Alza. Where was the rest from? Hmmm??? :D
Well, I don't know :-)))) according to their answers .-))) So I'll try... maybe from Samsung??? :-))))
Wasn't it a saber?
Hello,
Considering that I only visited this shop in person, I can't help but share my opinion here. I've been living in Germany for three years now and these shops are part of every MediaMarkt or Saturn (electronics chain) here, so I have to say that from a visual point of view, it's the same solution. Only, however, and unfortunately, the personnel who moved there were completely out of touch with reality. I overheard a man asking how to connect two monitors to a Mac mini and he got the answer that he had to ask a colleague that he didn't know. I went to visit my parents that day and said to myself that if there is a discount, I will buy a MacBook. Unfortunately, a friend convinced me that there will be terrible queues and that there is a 15% discount in Arcades regardless of configuration. Because Alza was not able to confirm on the phone even a day before. In the end, my friend and I bought two Mac books, and now I say that I'm glad I wasn't in Alza that morning and listened to my friend. Well, unfortunately, Alza probably messed up here, and in my opinion, this assortment should be operated by a person who has a relationship with this brand and not a regular employee of a store that today sells everything from TVs to refrigerators to vibrators. I apologize for the grammar, but I expressed my opinion here.
Mr. Author, is this a paid PR, or are you describing a published TZ? The headline alone must offend everyone who has visited at least one real Apple Store. Alza has the most brutal marketing, she goes for blood in everything she does. In my opinion, this is completely over the line and Jablickar still supports this practice. As a result, I have nothing against Alza (and in my opinion when they threw out the business and marketing regiment), but I say you can lie, you can't lie.
Where is the press window with the note that this is only a design store with APR status (same level as iStyle, iSetos, Qstore, Datart, EW, etc.). Where is the information about the fact that iPhones and other top products can still be bought at the Apple eshop rather than in Alga? Everyone who will work as a salesperson at both APR and AR must go through the training. Tests and training are done online. If the Alsatians were formed differently, explain it, I'm interested in it myself. That is, if they weren't just on the trail in a real Apple Store.
..
Copying press releases and reading foreign articles is not a journalist's job. I like Jablickare (hello Ozzby), but you're not really going to get anywhere like this. In addition to these articles, there are clouds on all servers and it is clear that no one is interested in the joke...
