Another one of the acquisitions of which Apple has made 24 in the last year and a half, according to Tim Cook, has surfaced. This time he bought the LED technology company LuxVue Technology. Not much was heard about this company, after all, it did not even try to appear publicly. It is not known the amount for which Apple managed to acquire, however, LuxVue collected 43 million from investors, so the price could be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Although not much is known about LuxVue Technology and its intellectual property, it is known to have developed low-power LED displays with micro-LED diode technology for consumer electronics. For Apple products, this technology could represent an increase in the endurance of mobile devices and laptops, as well as an improvement in the brightness of the display. The company also owns several patents related to micro-LED technology. It should be noted that Apple does not manufacture its own displays, it has them supplied by, for example, Samsung, LG or AU Optronics.

Apple confirmed the acquisition through its spokesperson with the classic announcement: "Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally don't talk about our purpose or plans."
