Apparently, within the hour we should see the official update of the iOS 7 operating system. In the meantime, Apple managed to release the update iTunes 11.1, which brings several new features as well as compatibility with iOS 7.

The first major news is iTunes Radio, a feature that Apple introduced back in June when it unveiled iOS 7. If you still don't know what it is, it's a Spotify-like music streaming service where you can listen to any music in the iTunes database without owning it. The service works like an internet radio and itself offers 250 preset stations. It is available for free with ads, if you subscribe to iTunes Match you can listen to music without ads. The service is not yet available here, but if you log in with an American account, you can use it.

Another new feature is Genius Shuffle. As opposed to the normal function of shuffling songs from your playlist or compilation album. iTunes analyzes the songs and arranges them so that they follow each other in terms of genre and rhythm. With another click, Genius Shuffle shuffles the tracks again. Definitely an interesting new way to listen to music. Podcast listeners can now create their own stations from their favorite channels. These will automatically update with each new episode. Additionally, all stations created, along with subscriptions and playback position, are synced via iCloud to the Podcasts app.

And finally, there is compatibility with iOS 7. Without a new iTunes update, you will not be able to synchronize all content with a device with iOS 7 installed. In addition, the organization and synchronization of applications will be a little easier, as already revealed new preview for OS X 10.9 Mavericks developers.

The update is currently available directly at Apple website, should also appear in the Mac App Store later.
