Adobe is a computer graphics, publishing and digital marketing software company. It is best known as the author of the PostScript and PDF standards and the producer of the graphics programs Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, and programs for publishing/reading PDF documents such as Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. But, of course, that's just the beginning. Just look at the App Store and you will find out how many applications you can find there from the company.

Of course, the most famous titles include those already mentioned, but Adobe is also behind the very popular Lightroom title for photo editing and perhaps also Premier Rush for video editing. A big strength of the company's apps is that they're usually cross-platform, so you can find and use them on macOS, Windows, or Android. Thanks Adobe Creative Cloud the big advantage here is that you can work on one project on any device. There are, of course, exceptions, when two are available exclusively and only on the iPad.

Adobe Photoshop

The app took a look at the platform in late 2019, with somewhat mixed reactions. This was mainly because the title lacked many adult features. However, with the passage of time, developers have honed it properly, and even if it still has certain limitations, it will really offer a lot of content creation options and, above all, support for both generations of the Apple Pencil, which can open up new possibilities for many that they cannot fully use with a computer. Although it is available for free in the App Store, it is necessary to pay a subscription, which starts at 189 CZK per month. There are some alternatives available for mobile phones. These are mainly Photoshop Camera Portrait Lens or Photoshop Express. Even though they are interesting titles, their quality and number of functions do not even reach their ankles. Photoshop's current App Store rating is 4,2 stars.

Adobe Illustrator

A year after the release of Photoshop on the iPad, Illustrator also took a look at it. Its big advantage is the support of Apple Pencil, because the application itself is intended for creating or editing illustrations and creating various graphics. But Adobe's strategy was the same as it was in the case of the previous title. After its launch, it contained only basic functions and options, which are improved and supplemented with successive updates. So it only depends on your specific use, if you can get by with the ones already available, or if you are missing something essential. Even without them, however, it is a relatively powerful tool, which in its current state can easily pocket all similar ones.

Adobe Lightroom

The oldest of the trio of applications specializing in use with iPads has been tested for years, as evidenced by the rating in the App Store. In it, it scores 4,7 stars, making it the best Adobe title for iPads according to users, as the previous Illustrator has a tenth of a point less, but also half the rating. Additionally, one of the latest updates added to Lightroom the ability to edit videos too, using the same controls you use on photos.
