In the new 12-inch MacBook with Retina display, practically all ports have become victims of progress. There is only one USB Type-C port left, which is double-sided, but not compatible with current USB accessories. That's why Apple offers an adapter and charges 2 crowns for it.

Without the adapter, it will not be possible to perform multiple actions on the MacBook at the same time, such as connecting a USB device, connecting to a monitor and charging in one. Next to at least 40 thousand for the base model of the new MacBook, you will have to purchase one of the adapters for another two thousand crowns: USB‑C multi-port digital AV, or VGA adapter.

Both adapters will offer HDMI/VGA, USB 3.1 and USB-C. When you plug this adapter into the MacBook, you can charge via USB-C (this cable is included with the MacBook), connect regular USB accessories, and connect it via HDMI/VGA to the monitor (these cables must be purchased separately).

If only a reduction to classic USB is enough for you at one point, you can do with a USB‑C/USB adapter for 579 crowns. But once you connect this adapter, you won't be able to charge the MacBook at the same time.

In the Apple Online Store, we can also find a two-meter USB-C charging cable, and if we wanted to buy a spare for the new MacBook, we can to 899 crowns. Then the power adapter for others 1 crowns. Both the charging cable and the power adapter are, of course, part of the MacBook.
