After a week, we again bring you a summary of the speculations that have appeared in connection with the Apple company in recent days. This time, after some time, there will be no (quite) talk about iPhones 13 or AirTags. The topics of the past week are iPhone and Mac frames and a patent for a dual stand Pro Stand.

Almost bezel-less display

For several years now, there has been speculation from time to time that Apple is about to release a completely bezel-less iPhone with an edge-to-edge display. However, it seems that it will not be possible to completely remove the bezels from iPhones in the foreseeable future, so Apple is reportedly exploring ways to make them smaller, at least optically – not only for its smartphones, but also for computers. It recently registered a patent that describes a method of imitating a frameless display. According to this patent, part of the frames could be covered by a passive part of the display, which would not be touch-sensitive or offer any functions, but the display would be optically enlarged. As with many other interesting patents, registration alone does not guarantee its final realization.

Double stand Pro Stand on Pro Display XDR

Patents will also be discussed in the second part of our today's summary of speculations. In this case, it will be an upgrade of the luxury Pro Stand to the Apple Pro Display XDR. The latest patent that Apple filed for this stand describes a double-sided version of the accessory. The stand, which is depicted in the description of the patent, is stabilized from both sides and is also supported by a horizontal partition in its center. According to the description in the patent, it would then be possible to connect multiple displays at once to a stand designed in this way and fix them accordingly. Let's be surprised if this patent will eventually come to fruition, and if so, how high the final price of the stand will be.
