Google Goggles, an application that was created for Android after almost a year, has finally arrived on the iPhone.
The application is used to search the Internet using photos from the camera, so you do not need to enter anything at all. Just take a photo with the camera, the application will analyze it and return the relevant results via the server Google com. At this time, the application is able to recognize, for example, books, logos, business cards, places, etc.
But you will rather see their functionality in the following video.
The application is available on the App Store under the name: Google Mobile App.
I read on foreign servers that it -probably- is only for English-speaking countries..
Well, it doesn't work very well for Czech things (goods, etc.) yet, but for "international" things it works great :)
Too bad it doesn't work on iphone 3G………
This feature is disabled on iPhone 3G.
Since 3g has no possibility of focusing, the function would have minimally satisfactory results...
I'm probably completely stupid, but where is that function? :-D I have an iP4 but for God's sake I can't find it in Google Aps... Thanks
Well, I also have an iPhone 4 and today I downloaded the update, but I can't see the function anywhere.. WTF?
I don't know how it is on the 4, but on the 3GS, after starting the first tab, search, a photo icon appeared next to the search shelf, click on it and the functionality is there.
so it's the same on iP4, I asked a colleague to install Google Mobile Apps
So I found it :) Google Visual Search must be enabled in the settings in the Search section and then the icon will appear on the Search page at the top right next to the microphone
