If we had to name one Apple product that we've been eagerly waiting for for several long months, it's AirTags. These localization pendants from Apple were supposed to be presented already at the first autumn conference last year. But as you surely know, last fall we saw a total of three conferences - and AirTags did not appear at any of them. Despite the fact that it has already been said practically three times, AirTags should really wait for the next Apple Keynote, which should take place in a few weeks, according to available information, quite possibly on March 16. In this article, we will look together at 7 unique features that we expect from AirTags.

Integration into Find

As you probably know, the Find service and application have been working in the Apple ecosystem for a long time. As the name suggests, Find is used to locate your lost devices, and you can also view the location of your family and friends. Just as iPhone, AirPods or Macs appear in Find, for example, AirTags should also appear here, which is undoubtedly the main attraction. This means you won't need to install third-party apps to set up and search for AirTags.

Loss mode

Even if you somehow manage to lose the AirTag, you should be able to find it again after switching to lost mode, even after disconnecting it completely. A special function should help with this, with the help of which the AirTag will start sending a certain signal to the surroundings, which will be picked up by other Apple devices. This would create a kind of network of Apple products, where each device would know the exact location of other devices in the vicinity, and the location would be shown to you directly in Find.

Use of augmented reality

If you've ever managed to lose an Apple device, you know that you can simply approach it using the sound that starts playing. However, with the arrival of AirTags, finding the tag should be even easier, as augmented reality will most likely be used. In the event that you manage to lose the AirTag and a specific object, you could use the iPhone's camera and augmented reality, thanks to which you would see the location of the AirTag in real space directly on the display.

It burns and burns!

As I mentioned above - if you manage to lose any apple device, you can find out its location by sound feedback. However, this sound plays over and over without any change. In the case of AirTags, this sound should change depending on how close or far you are from the object. In a way, you will find yourself in a game of hide-and-seek, where AirTags will notify you by sound water itself, burns, or burns.

Safe location

AirTags location pendants should also offer a function with which you could set so-called safe locations. If the AirTag leaves this safe location, a notification will immediately be played on your device. For example, if you attach the AirTag to your car keys and someone leaves the house or apartment with them, the AirTag will let you know. That way, you'll know exactly when someone grabs your important item and tries to walk away with it.

Water resistance

What a lie, it certainly wouldn't be out of place if the AirTags locator tags were waterproof. Thanks to this, we could expose them to the rain, for example, or in certain cases we could also sink into the water with them. For example, if you manage to lose something in the sea on vacation, you could find it again thanks to the waterproof AirTags pendant. It remains to be seen if Apple will follow the trend of waterproof devices with its location trackers too – we hope so.

Rechargeable battery

A few months ago, there was constant talk that AirTags should be powered by a flat and round battery labeled CR2032, which you can find, for example, in various keys or on computer motherboards. However, this flashlight cannot be charged, which is in a way contrary to the ecology of the apple company. If the battery were to run out, you would have to throw it away and replace it. However, Apple could eventually, according to available information, plunge into the use of classic rechargeable batteries - allegedly similar to those found in the Apple Watch.
