We are only a few days away from the presentation of the new Apple Watch Series 7. This should happen as early as next Tuesday, September 14, when Apple will reveal the watch alongside the new iPhone 13. Nevertheless, reports of complications in their production are spreading on the Internet, due to which question marks still hang over whether their introduction will not be moved to another date. This year's generation should not offer so many revolutionary innovations. But that doesn't mean he won't have anything to offer, quite the contrary. Therefore, in this article, we will summarize 5 things that we expect from the Apple Watch Series 7.

Brand new design

In connection with the Apple Watch Series 7, the most common talk is about the arrival of a brand new design. It's no longer a secret that Apple is going for a light unification of design in the case of its products. After all, we can already see this when looking at the iPhone 12, iPad Pro/Air (4th generation) or 24″ iMac. All these devices have one thing in common – sharp edges. We should see exactly this kind of change in the case of the expected Apple Watch, which will come closer to its "siblings."

What the new design could look like is outlined, for example, by the render attached above, which shows the Apple Watch Series 7 in all its glory. Another look at what the watch could look like was offered by Chinese manufacturers. On the basis of leaks and other available information, they developed and launched faithful clones of Apple watches, which, although not exactly high quality, offer us a glimpse of what the product could actually look like. In such a case, however, it is necessary to imagine the aforementioned processing at the Apple level. We covered this topic in more detail in the article attached below.

Larger display

A slightly larger display goes hand in hand with the new design. Apple recently increased the case size of the Apple Watch Series 4, which improved from the original 38 and 42 mm to 40 and 44 mm. As it turns out, it's the perfect time for a light zoom once again. According to the information available so far, which stems from a leaked photo showing the strap, Apple should increase this time by a "mere" millimeter. Apple Watch Series 7 therefore they come in 41mm and 45mm case sizes.

Compatibility with older straps

This point directly follows on from the above-mentioned increase in the size of the cases. Therefore, a relatively simple question arises - will older straps be compatible with the new Apple Watch, or will it be necessary to purchase a new one? In this direction, more sources lean towards the side that backward compatibility will be a matter of course. After all, this was also the case with the already mentioned Apple Watch Series 4, which also increased the size of the cases.

But there have also been opinions on the Internet discussing the opposite - that is, that the Apple Watch Series 7 will not be able to work in combination with older straps. This information was shared by an alleged Apple Store employee, but no one is sure if it makes sense to pay attention to his words. For now, anyway, it looks like there won't be the slightest problem with using the older straps.

Higher performance & battery life

There is no detailed information about the performance or capabilities of the S7 chip, which will most likely appear in the Apple Watch Series 7. But if we are based on previous years, namely the S6 chip in the Apple Watch Series 6, which offered 20% more performance compared to the S5 chip from the previous generation, we can expect roughly the same increase in this year's series as well.

It is relatively more interesting in the case of the battery. It should see an interesting improvement, probably thanks to changes in the case of the chip. Some sources say that Apple managed to shrink the aforementioned S7 chip, which leaves more room for the battery itself in the body of the watch.

Better sleep monitoring

What apple users have been calling for for a long time is better sleep monitoring. Although it has been working within the apple watch since the watchOS 7 operating system, it must be admitted that it is not in the best form. In short, there is always room for improvement, and Apple could theoretically use it this time. It should be noted, however, that respected sources did not mention a similar gadget. Apple could theoretically improve the system through a software update, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to get a hardware upgrade that would also be significantly more accurate.
