A few days ago, an article appeared in our magazine, in which we looked together at 5 useful functions from macOS that are unfairly neglected. Since this article became relatively popular, we decided to prepare a sequel for you. This time, however, we will not focus on macOS Monterey, but on iOS 15, which is currently available for most Apple phones. So, if you would like to know more about interesting features from the new iOS, then definitely continue reading. Because this system comes with absolutely great features that are simply worth it.

Collection of photos

Nowadays, you can use countless different applications for communication. Among the most popular are WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram and others. In addition to these applications, you can also use a native solution in the form of the Messages application, i.e. the iMessage service. Here, in addition to text, you can of course also send photos, videos, voice messages and other content. In the event that you sent multiple photos at once through Messages in the past, they were sent one after the other. A huge space was filled in the conversation, and if you wanted to display the content before these photos, it was necessary to scroll for a long time. But that changes in iOS 15, because now if you send multiple photos at once, they will be displayed in collection, which takes up as much space as a single photo.

Health Data Sharing

The native Health application has been part of the iOS operating system for a long time. Within this app, you can view countless different pieces of information about your health that your iPhone collects. If, in addition to your Apple phone, you also have an Apple Watch, this data is collected even more, and of course it is even more accurate. Until recently, only you could view your own data, but in iOS 15, the option to share health data with other users has been added. This can be useful, for example, for people who suffer from some disease, or for older generations, if you want to have an overview of the health of the person in question. If you want to start sharing health data, go to the native application Health, then click below Sharing and then press Share with someone. Then it's enough select a contact, with whom you want to share the data, and then specific information. Finally, just tap on Share.

Protect Mail activity

If you're one of those people who use e-mail in the classic way, you're most likely using the native Mail application. This application is available in practically all Apple devices and is very popular. But few people know that in certain situations the sender of the email can track you, namely how you handle and interact with the email. This is possible in most cases thanks to an invisible pixel that is part of the email body. Of course, this is not an entirely appropriate matter, which is why Apple decided to intervene. With the arrival of iOS 15, we saw a new function called Protect activity in Mail. To activate this feature, just go to Settings → Mail → Privacy, where use the switch to activate Protect Mail activity.

In-App Privacy Report

When you install an application on your iPhone, the system will ask you after the first launch if you want to allow it to access certain functions, services or data - for example, the microphone, camera, photos, contacts and others. If you allow access, then the application with a specific function can do whatever it wants. In this way, you can easily lose track of how often and possibly what exactly the application uses. Anyway, with the arrival of iOS 15, we saw the addition of the Privacy Report function in applications, which can inform you about which functions, services or data individual applications have accessed, and also when. In addition, you can find information about network activity of applications, contacted domains and more. You can see the app privacy message at Settings → Privacy, where to get off all the way down and click open the appropriate box.

Background sounds

Each of us imagines relaxation in a different way. Someone likes to play a game, someone watches a movie or series, and another person likes to listen to different sounds. If you belong to the last mentioned individuals and you often listen to the sounds of nature, or noise, etc., to relax, then I have great news for you. As part of iOS 15, we saw the addition of the Background Sounds function, with which you can, as the name suggests, start playing several sounds in the background. This feature is for the control option to add to the Control Center - so go to Settings → Control Center to add the Hearing element. Next, open the Control Center, tap on Hearing, and then tap on Background Sounds in the next interface. However, this way you cannot, for example, set automatic playback stop after a certain time. However, we have prepared a shortcut especially for our readers, thanks to which you can easily set everything, including automatic playback stop.
