E-mail is used by each of us on a daily basis. In this regard, owners of iOS devices have a relatively rich selection of various third-party applications to choose from, but native Mail can also provide you with a good service in this regard. Like many of Apple's native apps, Mail has its quirks, but with the right tips and tricks, you can certainly get the most out of it.

Change the signature

Signatures are an important part of your email messages, and if you set them to be automatically attached to each of your messages, it will save you a lot of time. By default, the signature of messages created in native Mail for iOS reads “Sent from iPhone”. If you want to change this text, run on your iPhone Settings -> Mail -> Signature, click on signature window and set your preferred text.

Helpful Siri

While working with messages in native Mail on your iOS device, the virtual voice assistant Siri can also be of great help. You can give it not only commands to send messages ("Email Mr. Novak and tell him that I have read the document”), but also to display them (“Show new email from XY”), answer them (“Reply to this email”), but also delete in various ways (“Delete all emails from yesterday”).

Deleting and archiving e-mails

Did you know that when working with emails in the native Mail app on your iOS device, you can choose between archiving and deleting the selected message? Although this option is not visible at first glance, it is present in the application. First, on your iOS device, select the message you want to either archive or delete, and open her. Then, on the screen with the message open, long press in the lower left corner trash can icon. In the menu that appears, you just have to select it archiving or delete the message.

 

Scan attachments

The iOS version of the Mail application offers relatively rich options for working with attachments, including the ability to directly scan documents into e-mail attachments using the iPhone's camera. First, create an email message, then tap on the bar above the virtual keyboard scan icon (second from right). Load the required document, edit it to your liking and confirm its attachment to the e-mail. To add an attachment from Files, tap document icon on the bar above the keyboard.

Display options

In native Mail in the environment of the iOS operating system, you can also choose how the overview of incoming e-mail messages will be displayed. To adjust the display density of incoming messages, run on your iOS device Settings -> Mail, where you tap the item preview and you choose number of lines, which should be displayed for each message. The lower the number you select, the greater the density of displayed messages.
