Although the iOS operating system offers for creating and managing e-mails the native Mail application, but it does not necessarily suit everyone. Many users who have their email inbox set up with Google prefer the Gmail app in the iOS version. If you're one of those users, you might want to use some of our tips and tricks today.

Change display density

Are you not satisfied with the way the messages are displayed in the inbox? You can change this very easily in the Gmail app on iPhone. IN upper left corner click on three lines icon and then in menu click on Settings. And bottom of the menu choose Conversation list density and then choose the layout that suits you best.

Signature customization

If you're replying to emails from your iPhone, the answer can sometimes be more concise - either because of a lack of time, or because typing on a smartphone keyboard is simply not as convenient as typing on a computer. If you want to let the other person know that the brevity of your message is because you're replying from your phone, you can add a specific signature in the Gmail app on iPhone. IN upper left corner tap iend of three horizontal lines and then select Settings. Choose an account, choose Signature settings, activate Mobile signature and set the desired signature.

Answer in absentia

You can also easily set up an out-of-office auto-reply on Gmail on iPhone. How to do it? IN upper left corner tap again icon of three horizontal lines. Choose Settings, select an account and tap Answer in absentia. After that, all you have to do is enter all the necessary parameters.

Set default apps

Incoming e-mails often contain various web links, data or even addresses that you can further work with in other applications. To set which apps to use as default when opening links from Gmail, tap v upper left corner na icon of three horizontal lines, select Settings and then tap on Default application. All you have to do here is select the desired applications.

Set confidential mode

You can also set the so-called confidential mode for individual messages sent within Gmail on the iPhone. Start composing a new message and v upper right corner click on three dots. Choose Confidential mode, and in the corresponding menu you can easily set, for example, the validity period or the requirement to enter a password.
