If you are one of the owners of Apple Watch, there is a high probability that you also use this smart watch while exercising. Tracking exercise through the Apple Watch is easy in itself, but it is definitely worth knowing a few tricks that will make this activity even more effective.
Even more types of exercises
If you're a new Apple Watch owner, you might be wondering how to start a workout on your watch that you don't immediately see in the overview. While there was a variant available in previous versions of watchOS jine, in newer versions you already have many more types of exercises on offer, including dancing or perhaps cooling down. So if you don't see the one you want to start immediately on the main page with the exercise menu, go to all the way down and tap on Add exercise. Select the desired one exercises and start it in the usual way.
Add another activity to your workout
If your workout consists of several different types of activity, like many other people do, you don't have to stop and start each activity separately. For example, if you're starting cardio and are about to move on to weight training, start on your Apple Watch cardio first. Then slide the watch display towards transport and tap the green one "+" icon with a sign New – then just start the next exercise.
Do not disturb during exercise
When you're in the thick of your fitness, you certainly don't want to be interrupted by incoming calls or notifications. If you want Do Not Disturb to automatically activate when you start your workout, launch the app on your paired iPhone Watch, where you tap on General -> Do not disturb. In this section after activate possibility Do not disturb during exercise.
Take advantage of complications
Complications are a great thing, thanks to which you can, for example, start a workout directly from the display of your Apple Watch, or, for example, always have a perfect overview of how your rings are doing. Every dial does not support complications, but for example Infograph or Modular infograph is a safe bet in this regard. To add a complication to your Apple Watch watch face, select the watch face first long press and then tap on Adjust a move the dial to the Complications section – then just select the given complication.
Automatic exercise recognition
Among other things, Apple Watch also has the function of automatic exercise recognition. So when you start, for example, outdoor walking or outdoor running. Thanks to this function, you will avoid the situation where, for example, after ten minutes of running you realize that you have not started a workout on your Apple Watch. Run on your Apple Watch to activate automatic exercise recognition Settings -> General -> Exercise, where you activate function Exercise start reminder. Here you can too activate reminder of the end of the exercise.
Can someone explain the word "COMPLICATION" to me? Thank you.
Basically, we call a complication anything that is on a watch beyond the basic time measurement. Sometimes the second hand is already indicated as a complication, but we would adhere to the more widespread opinion that the basic and practically the most widespread complication is the date indicator, sometimes combined with the day of the week indicator. Such a complication can be found in almost all watch manufacturers.

Thank you for answer.
I know the meaning of the word complication, which is why I don't understand its illogical use, for example in this article. Hence my question.
I guess I don't understand what is illogical about the use of the word complications in this article. Apple itself calls them that, so where is the problem?
At the same time, there is an understandable and all-explaining Czech term "additional devices" which was used in their publications by recognized watchmakers Sladkovský, Martínek, Řehoř or Michal and is also used by the vast majority of today's watchmakers.
Hello, we understand your reservations, but unfortunately you are directing them to the wrong place. The term "complication" in relation to the Apple Watch is not our invention, it is an official term used by Apple within the watchOS operating system. In addition, I am afraid that the term "additional devices" in the context of the Apple Watch might confuse some users. So if you allow, we will stay with the complications.
