A few days ago, Apple introduced brand new operating systems to the world. He did so at the WWDC22 developer conference, and as you probably already know, he showed off iOS and iPadOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, and watchOS 9. At the conference, he discussed new features, but he didn't mention many of them at all, so they had to figure them out the testers themselves. Since we are also testing iOS 16 in the editorial office, we now bring you an article with 5 hidden features from iOS 16 that Apple did not mention at WWDC.

View the Wi-Fi network password

Surely you have ever found yourself in a situation where you needed to find out the password of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to - for example, to simply share with someone else. On Mac this is not a problem, as you can find the password in Keychain, but on iPhone this option has not been available until now. However, with the arrival of iOS 16, Apple has come up with this option, so it is possible to easily view the Wi-Fi password at any time. Just go to Settings → Wi-Fi, where u specific networks click on button ⓘ. Then just tap on the row password a verify yourself through Face ID or Touch ID, which will display the password.

Keyboard haptic response

If you don't have silent mode active on your iPhone, you know that when you press a key on the keyboard, a clicking sound will be played for a better typing experience. However, competing phones can play not only sound but also subtle vibrations with each key press, which the iPhone has long lacked. However, Apple decided to add haptic keyboard response in iOS 16, which many of you will certainly appreciate. To activate, simply go to Settings → Sounds and haptics → Keyboard response, where activates with a switch possibility Haptics.

Find duplicate contacts

To maintain a good organization of contacts, it is necessary that you get rid of duplicate records, among other things. Let's face it, if you have hundreds of contacts, looking through one contact after another and looking for duplicates is out of the question. Even in this case, however, Apple intervened and in iOS 16 came up with a simple option for searching and possibly merging duplicate contacts. If you would like to manage any duplicates, go to the application Contacts, or tap in the app Phone down to the section Contacts. Then just tap on at the top, under your business card Duplicates were found. If this line isn't there, you don't have any duplicates.

Adding Medicines to Health

Are you one of those individuals who have to take several different medications daily, or otherwise frequently? Do you often forget to take a medicine? If you answered yes to even one of these questions, then I have great news for you. In iOS 16, specifically in Health, you can add all your medications and set when your iPhone should notify you about them. Thanks to this, you will never forget the medicines and, in addition, you can also mark them as used, so you will have an overview of everything. Medications can be added in the app Health, where you go to Browse → Medicines and tap on Add medicine.

Support for web notifications

If you have a Mac, you can activate receiving notifications from websites on our magazine, or on other pages, for example for a new article or other content. For iOS, these web notifications are not yet available, but it must be mentioned that we will see them in iOS 16. For now, this function is not available, but Apple will add support for web notifications within this version of the system, so we definitely have something to look forward to.
