For several weeks now, our magazine has focused mainly on the news that we have received within the iOS and iPadOS 14 operating systems, together with watchOS 7. These operating systems include many new functions that are definitely worth mentioning. Some functions are very simple, while others are more complex. Within iOS and iPadOS 14, disadvantaged users have also come to their own in a certain way, for which a settings section called Accessibility is being prepared in the mentioned systems. In this section, there are many features that allow disabled users to use the system to the fullest. However, some of these functions are usable even for classic users. Let's take a look at 5 interesting features from Accessibility in iOS 14 together in this article.

Customization for headphones

If you are one of those individuals who have slightly worse hearing, then you will definitely like the Adaptation for Headphones feature. Thanks to this function, which we got in iOS 14, you can completely adjust and tune the sound of the headphones in the system with AirPods and selected Beats headphones. All these presets can be found in Settings, where you move to the section Disclosure. Then get off here below and move to the section Audiovisual aids, where then tap on the option Customization for headphones and function using a switch activate. Here you can already by clicking on Custom sound settings run a wizard to edit the sound, or you can make more edits below.

Sound recognition

Just like the function mentioned above, the function for recognizing sounds is intended primarily for those individuals who are hard of hearing - but it can also be useful for ordinary users. As the name of this feature suggests, the iPhone will be able to recognize sounds thanks to it. If the device detects a selected sound, it can inform the user about it via vibration or a notification within the system. If you want to look at this function and possibly activate it, go to the section Settings, where you click the box Disclosure. Then go down a bit here below and find the box Recognizing sounds, which you tap. Then using the function switch activate and move to the section Sounds. It's finally enough here choose those sounds, which the iPhone has to recognize hence which of them he has to warn.

Tapping on the back

Back Tap is one of the most popular iOS 14 Accessibility features - you've probably heard of it. If you set this feature, you can control your iPhone 8 and later by tapping on the back of the iPhone. In particular, you can set actions that will be performed when you double or triple tap. There are countless of these functions that the iPhone can perform - from the simplest ones to the more complex ones, including launching shortcuts. If you want to activate this feature on your iPhone, go to Settings, where below click the box Disclosure. Once you've done that, then move on to the section Touch and get off here all the way down where you can find the box Tapping on the back, which you click. Here you can then choose actions for Double tapping a Triple tap.

Redesigned magnifying glass

From time to time you may find yourself in a situation where you may need to use your iPhone as a magnifying glass. In this case, most of you would certainly go to the Camera application, where you would perform a classic zoom, or you would take a photo that you would zoom in on in the gallery. However, did you know that there is an app right in iOS? Land? With the arrival of iOS 14, this mentioned application received a huge overhaul. It now offers the possibility to adjust the brightness, contrast, color or activate the LED diode. If you click on the gear icon in this application, you can then set many more preferences and controls. You can simply drag the Magnifier app from the App Library to your desktop if you want to use it. If you can't find Lupa in the system, go to Settings, where tap on Disclosure. Then open the box here Land and toggle the switch here to active positions. After that, the Magnifier app will appear.

iOS acceleration

If you have installed the new iOS 14 on an older device, in some cases you may encounter that the device starts to hang and the system generally slows down. It's worth mentioning that the iPhone 6s, which is the last iPhone you'll install iOS 14 on, is already a 5-year-old device - so we certainly can't be surprised by the possible slowdown. Even so, within iOS, specifically directly in Accessibility, you will find several functions that can be used to speed up the system. So, if you have problems with the smoothness of the system on your iPhone, then go to Settings, where you open the section Disclosure. Then go to the section Movement, where activate function Limit movement. In this way, animations and various beautifying effects in the system will be limited, which can be very demanding on the processor. Furthermore, you can in Disclosure go to another section Display and text size, where activate options Reduce transparency a Higher contrast, which also results in a reduction in hardware requirements.
