Since its inception in 2006, Twitter has gained great importance and popularity worldwide. He was also the one who introduced popular hashtags. Lately, however, he has been trying to catch up with the competition, which he does not always succeed in doing. E.g. stories known from Snapchat and Instagram were a flop, so he removed them from the network. Now they are betting more on Prostory, i.e. a copy of the Clubhouse platform. Fortunately, he is doing better here.

New search button

A new network search button has been added to the iOS app to make it easier to find the right tweets from a specific user. You will find the magnifying glass icon in the top right of the clicked profile. You will then see a classic search, which, however, only includes a search on the desired user's profile. However, this was possible before, but it was not so friendly in classic search.

Spaces for everyone

The so-called Twitter Spaces were launched earlier this year as an attempt to compete with the hit Clubhouse. Although there were not such strict restrictions, it was not completely without them. The limit was to have more than 600 followers. But since Twitter wants as many users as possible to use this feature, it has definitely removed this limit. Now anyone can create a Space and broadcast it live.

Sharing Spaces

Only from the end of October is it possible to start using the Spaces Recording function, at least for selected users. The feature should roll out to everyone in the coming weeks. With the ability to upload Spaces and share them across the platform, users who host them can be able to extend the reach of their work beyond the single moment their Space is live. Listeners then have the advantage of being able to play them and also share them, even outside of the current time.

Navigation panel customization

Twitter recently tested several new features for its mobile app, and now it's finally working on the feature customization you application navigation bars. By default, it displays the Home, Search, Notifications, and Messages icons. However, with new features like Spaces and more, Twitter's navigation bar could use a bit of a makeover. Thanks to this change, which is still under development, each user will be able to choose the most useful shortcuts to add to the bar themselves.

Ads in conversations

But news like this is definitely not pleasing. Twitter he announced, that it is conducting a test with some users in which ads will begin to appear in the middle of conversations. If you're part of this global test, or when Twitter actually rolls out this unpleasant news, you'll see ads after the first, third, or eighth reply below a tweet. However, the company adds that it will experiment with the format in the coming months to understand how it affects Twitter usage. For a while, we can be quite calm that he may not mention her at all.
