If you are one of the owners of an older iPhone, iPad or Mac, then you have probably already searched for all kinds of tips with which you could free up storage space on these Apple devices. Although it's not quite common, believe me, you can find yourself in exactly the same situation even if you own an Apple Watch. The oldest generation of Apple watches have only 8 GB of internal memory, which may not be enough after recording music, podcasts and other data. So how can you free up storage space on your Apple Watch?

Removing music

By far, the most storage space on the Apple Watch is most often taken up by music. Users can sync music to the Apple Watch from their Apple phones, which is useful, for example, for jogging or other sports - you don't have to take your iPhone with you to listen to music. But if there is a lot of music in the memory, this will of course have a negative effect on free space. To delete music you don't need, go to the app Watch, where below click on the box Music. Then press the button at the top right Adjust a delete albums and playlists, which you don't need in Apple Watch.

Deleting podcasts and audiobooks

As well as music, you can also store podcasts and audiobooks on Apple Watch. When it comes to podcasts, it doesn't happen very often that we listen to an episode several times - we are practically always only interested in the next one. So if you have multiple episodes of the same podcast stored in your Apple Watch, you should think about whether it is necessary. Anyway, most of us listen to an audiobook only once, and after reading it, it doesn't need to stay in our memory. To manage your podcasts, go to the Watch app, tap below podcasts, and then check the option Coming. To manage audiobooks, go to the section Audiobooks, can you can disable recommended audiobooks, and after tapping on Adjust stored audiobooks remove.

Change photo sync settings

The Apple Watch display is really small, so viewing photos like this on it is not quite ideal - but it can serve well as an emergency matter. You can store up to 500 photos in the Apple Watch memory, which can be opened anytime and anywhere after synchronization. However, such a large number of photos takes up a lot of storage space, so if you have a problem with space, you should change the settings. To change the limit of photos stored on Apple Watch, go to the app Watch, where you open the box Photos. Then click on it Photo limit and choose the ideally smallest option, i.e. 25 photos.

Deleting website data

Even on Apple Watch, you can browse the internet… well, a certain web page. For example, all you have to do is send a specific web page to Messages that you want to view, and then tap the link in the Messages app. Of course, when browsing websites, certain data is created and stored in the memory of the Apple Watch. If you would like to delete this data to free up storage space, you can. Just go to on your Apple Watch Settings, where you click the box In general and get off below. Then click here Site data, press Delete site data and finally action confirm by tapping on Delete data.

Uninstall unused applications

If you install an application on your iPhone that also has a version for the Apple Watch, this application will automatically be installed on the Apple Watch - at least this is how it is by default. Although this is a well-intentioned feature, it does not necessarily suit everyone, as applications take up a lot of memory space. To disable this feature, go to the app Watch, where you open the section In general a disable Automatic installation of applications. You can then uninstall already installed apps by going to the app Watch, you get off all the way down you click on a specific one application a you deactivate possibility View on Apple Watch.
