Copying an object from photos

Copying objects has been a part of native Photos since the arrival of iOS 16 and enables, among other things, the creation of stickers. In the app Fotky open an image with a prominent object and long press that object to remove it from the background. A line will glow around the object to let you know the program is working, and then you'll see options to copy or create a sticker.

Merge or delete duplicates

To get rid of duplicate images in iOS 16 and later, in native Photos, just tap Albums at the bottom of the display, scroll all the way down, and tap Duplicates. Subsequently, for individual duplicates, determine whether you want to delete or merge them.

Lock deleted and private photos

Like the Hidden album, you can lock the Recently Deleted album in iOS 16 and later using Face ID or Touch ID. On iPhone, run Settings -> Photos, and here after that it is enough to activate the item Use Face ID.

Faster access to events

After opening an individual photo, an icon of three dots in a circle is displayed next to the Edit button. Click it to open a drop-down menu that offers options to copy, duplicate, or hide/unhide the image, start a slideshow, save as a video (for Live Photos), add to an album, edit the date and time, and more.

Copy and paste edits

While viewing the edited file in the Photos app, tap the three dots icon in the upper right corner. In the menu that appears, tap on Copy edits. Move to the image to which you want to apply these adjustments, click again on the icon of three dots in a circle in the upper right corner and choose Embed edits.
