Spring Breakers
They are not "spring boys" like spring boys. While most young people in the country spend their spring break at the cottage, with relatives or on the slopes, the four high school girls from the film Spring Breakers by director Harmony Korine have it a little differently. She wants to enjoy her vacation on the beach in a luxury resort, but none of the girls are getting as much money as they would have imagined. Solution? Fast food raid. During the subsequent celebration, however, all the (anti)heroines are arrested and have to go to court. The infamous gangster Alien (James Franco) buys them out of prison and an unforgettable vacation begins.

Downton Abbey
Do you prefer a more distinguished program to a beach (or snow) and alcohol spree? Downton Abbey as a series quickly became a phenomenon not only among those who like "royal" affairs. Now this phenomenon comes in the form of a feature film, and as with the series, there is definitely something to stand for. In the Downton estate, this time the owners and servants are faced with the dilemma of whether to remain fully and at all times faithful to old traditions and time-honored rituals, or at least partially submit to modern times. Into the tense atmosphere comes the news that the King of England himself is about to visit the estate. There comes a time of confrontation between the local servants and that kingdom, a time of uninvited guests and a time of unexpected complications.

Parasitic
The announcement of this year's Oscars is over. Among the award-winning films was Parazit, among others. Director Bong Joon-ho's black comedy tells the story of a cunning poor family who decide to make life a little more pleasant by "sucking" into the household of a wealthy businessman. Parazit is an interesting and originally conceived film, where there is no shortage of tense situations, unpredictable moments, and which balances between fresh black comedy and psychological drama.

Melancholia
Controversial director Lars von Trier is loved by some, hated by some. If you've decided to give his works a chance, it might not be the best idea to start with Break the Waves, Antichrist, or Idiots charges. Melancholia is an unconventionally conceived film with themes of the apocalypse, the end of the world, relationships and the transience of life. If you don't know what to do with a busy spring break evening, try to immerse yourself in the immersive atmosphere of the film, in which Kirsten Dunst, Alexander Skarsgård, Charlotte Gainsbourg and others excel. You might also feel like playing golf.
