On Tuesday, November 6, the first customers could enjoy the new iPad Pro. While until now only the information released by Apple itself was clear, now new facts have come to light. You will find out in this article what surprised some customers about the newly purchased device, which is captivating with its thinness.

Apple Pencil

Even with the first generation of the apple stylus, praise was not spared. However, the improved version of the Apple Pencil eliminates the remaining shortcomings that the previous one encountered. An example can be pairing and fast charging by magnetically attaching to the side of the iPad, i.e. without the need to connect to a connector. Additionally, the stylus allows you to change tools by double-tapping its side. However, we learned 3 more facts about the second generation Apple Pencil.

1. It is more expensive

You will have to dig deeper into your pocket for an improved Apple stylus. Compared to the first version, which could be purchased for 2 CZK, you will now pay 590 CZK.

2. Does not have a spare tip

Another piece of information that came to light after the start of sales is the fact that in the packaging of the new Apple Pencil we will no longer find the replacement tip that was part of the first generation. If you feel the need to replace the tip, you can go for a set of four tips for CZK 579.

3. You can't charge it without an iPad

The new way of charging will make the use significantly more comfortable compared to the previous generation. The Apple Pencil can be charged wirelessly by magnetically connecting to the edge of the iPad, but this is also the only option. Few will be surprised that the new Apple stylus will not be able to be charged with other Qi standard chargers.

Power cable

A big leap for the iPad Pro. This is how it is possible to summarize the new horizons that the change of the connector from Lightning to USB-C opened up for the iPad. We wrote about everything that will be possible to connect to an apple tablet using a USB-C cable <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>. However, nothing is that easy. The cable included in the iPad Pro package does not allow the iPad to be connected to an external monitor, as it is intended primarily for charging. So if you want to use the new iPad to the fullest, you will need to purchase a data cable. To make the situation complicated enough, it should be mentioned that the Thunderbolt 3 cable sold by Apple works in combination with the new iPads, even though the new tablet does not officially support this technology.

Keyboard

Compared to the previous information, the information that the new Smart Keyboard Folio is 52 grams heavier than its predecessor may seem rather insignificant, but some users may be surprised by such a detail. In the case of the 11-inch version, the keyboard weighs 297 grams (compared to 245 g in the previous version), and in the 12,9-inch version, the Smart Keyboard Folio weighs 407 grams (compared to 340 g in the previous version).

Camera

The presented iPad Pros captivated with their design and extremely small thickness. However, what we understandably did not learn during the keynote is the fact that the cameras of the new iPads lack one essential component – optical image stabilization. On the one hand, it can be argued that too many people do not use the iPad for photography, on the other hand, it is sad that a tablet with such a high price tag lacks a similar function. In other aspects, the camera should remain unchanged.

How important the mentioned information about the camera and other components of the new Apple tablet is depends on a personal point of view. In any case, it is good to know them and take them into account when choosing and buying a new device.
