For some time now, users around the world have been enjoying the brand new iOS 14 operating system on their iPhones. It brings new iPhone customization options, new accessibility options, and a host of new features. In this article, we will introduce you to four tips with which you can make your iPhone with iOS 14 even better.
Play with the surface
The iOS 14 operating system offers users much richer options for working with the desktop. If you long press the icon of the selected application, you may notice that the option to delete the application only from the desktop has been added. This will keep the app hidden, but you can launch it at any time via Spotlight or in the App Library. You can also hide entire pages of a desktop in iOS 14 - if you long press it and then tap the dotted bar at the bottom, you'll see an overview of individual desktops that you can easily hide.
Application library
User opinions on the App Library in iOS 14 vary. Some are excited about it, others would prefer to remove it from their iPhone for good. If you belong to the first named group, you will certainly welcome tips on how to use it to the full. The app library is hidden behind the last page of the home screen on your iPhone. In its upper part you will find a search field, right below it there are folders with proposed and recently added applications. After a long press, you can edit apps in the App Library as you're used to, tap on a folder to see the apps it contains. If you perform a short swipe down on the screen in the App Library, you will see an alphabetical overview of all your apps.
Tapping on the back
iOS 14 allows owners of iPhone 8 and later to activate various actions by tapping the back of the phone. You can activate the function in Settings -> Accessibility -> Touch, where you just need to tap on the Back Tap section. Here you can easily set double-tap and triple-tap actions. The back tap feature also works great with Siri Shortcuts, giving you virtually unlimited options in this regard.
Tune your Memoji
If you like using Memoji, you will certainly welcome the possibility to play with them more in the iOS 14 operating system. The latest version of Apple's mobile operating system offers users even more options to personalize Memoji, such as the ability to add a mask or "aging". Launch the Messages app and tap the animoji icon in any conversation. Tap the three dots icon on the left, then select Edit. Click Start and you can start editing. You can find masks in the Headgear section at the very bottom, you can adjust the age by clicking on the Head section, right at the top of the menu.
I like how the show tries to convince people that the library is useful and necessary for the application ???, even though it is completely useless. Among other things, because you can't move apps between folders!!!!
And tapping on the backside is debatable too!
If, for example, you have a printscreen set and you are used to tapping a pencil on the table on which the phone is lying, you erase a bunch of printscreens from photos in the afternoon! It's too sensitive!
I use the app library instead of the previous "Bordel" folder, where I have everything unused or used so little that once in a while I look for it anyway via Spotlight. It allowed me to have only what I needed on my desktop, it's a good thing that can't bother anyone if it doesn't interest them.
Exactly.
