Deactivating the Dashboard

The Dashboard is a special screen on the Mac that looks like the desktop of an iPhone, and on which all installed applications are displayed, including web applications from the Safari browser. While some won't allow the Dashboard, others don't need it at all. If you dare to completely disable the Dashboard on your Mac, just enter the command in the Finder command line

and press Enter.

Using Terminal on your Mac, you can also somewhat customize the appearance of the Dock at the bottom of your computer screen. How to do it? Open Terminal and then enter the command in the command line
