The presentation of the new iPhones is fast approaching. It seems like yesterday that Apple introduced the current latest "thirteens", but since then more than half a year has already passed, which means that we are now less than half a year away from the introduction of the iPhone 14 (Pro). Currently, of course, various information, speculations and leaks about these new iPhones are already appearing. Some things are practically clear, others are not. Therefore, let's take a look together in this article at 10 things that we will (maybe) expect from the iPhone 14 (Pro). You can find the first 5 things directly in this article, the next 5 in the article on our sister magazine Letem svetom Applem, see the link below.

48 MP camera

For several long years now, Apple phones have offered cameras with a resolution of "only" 12 MP. Despite the fact that the competition often offers cameras with a resolution of more than 100 MP, Apple still manages to stay on top and the quality of photos and videos is simply great. However, with the arrival of the iPhone 14 (Pro), we should expect the introduction of a new 48 MP camera that will offer even better photos and videos than before. Unfortunately, with the deployment of this new camera, the photo module will most likely also increase, mainly in thickness.

A16 Bionic chip

With the arrival of each new Apple phone so far, Apple has also introduced a new generation of the A-series chip used in iPhones. We can find the A13 Bionic chip specifically for the iPhone 15 (Pro), which means that we should expect the A16 Bionic chip for the "fourteens". That's certainly how it will be, but more and more leaks are saying that this new chip will be exclusive to the high-end 14 Pro (Max) models. This would mean that the cheaper two models will "only" offer the A15 Bionic chip, which, however, continues to crush the competition with its performance and economy, so it will certainly be enough.

Traffic accident detection

Apple is one of the few companies that cares about the health of its users. It primarily succeeds with the use of the Apple Watch, but relatively recently information appeared that even apple phones will be able to save lives. Specifically, the new iPhone 14 (Pro) could offer traffic accident detection. If the recognition of an accident really happened, the Apple phone should automatically call for help, similar to what the Apple Watch does if the user falls. So let's see if we can wait.

No physical SIM slot

It's no secret that Apple is gradually trying to get rid of all connectors and holes and thus move to a completely wireless era. If Apple canceled wired charging for the iPhone 14 (Pro), we would probably survive with MagSafe technology - but that won't happen. Rather, there is talk of removing the physical slot for the SIM card. iPhone XS and later have one physical SIM slot available, together with one e-SIM, with the latest "thirteens" you don't even need to use the physical SIM slot at all, as there are two e-SIM slots available. So Apple could already remove the physical SIM slot, but most likely it won't do it completely. It is speculated that users could choose whether or not they want a physical SIM slot during configuration. However, we will most likely not see the complete removal of the physical SIM slot for the time being.

Titanium body

In the Czech Republic, you can officially get the Apple Watch only in an aluminum version. Elsewhere in the world, however, titanium and ceramic versions are available in addition to this design. Both of these designs are, of course, much more durable compared to aluminum. Some time ago, there was information that, in theory, the iPhone 14 Pro (Max) could come with a more durable titanium frame. However, this is information that is practically not confirmed in any way, so you better not guess in advance. On the other hand, it is necessary to mention that in recent years Apple has often not stopped surprising us with presentations, so we may still see it. But definitely don't take our word for it.
