Choose your Siri voice

Yes, the voice assistant Siri is still not available in the Czech language - and probably won't be for a long time. I honestly think that if the users who complain about the absence of Czech Siri had instead devoted time to studying basic English, they would have been able to control Siri in English a long time ago. Anyway, if for some reason you don't like the way Siri speaks to you, you can choose from several different voices, which is definitely handy. You can change Siri's voice in Settings → Siri and Search → Siri Voice, where you can choose the one that suits you.

Change the text size

Within iOS, you can change the text size, which will be appreciated by both older and younger users. Older individuals can set the text to be larger so that they can see it better, while younger individuals can set it to a smaller one so that more content can fit on the screen. To change the text size system-wide, just go to Settings → Display and brightness → Text size, where you can change the size. In addition, it is also possible to change the text size in only a certain application, which can be useful. If you are interested in how to do it, just open it this link, where you will learn the procedure.

Manage location services

Some apps and websites may ask you to access your location. For selected applications, for example navigation and maps, or for selected websites, for example Google when searching for nearby places, this is of course understandable, but not for other applications. Social networks often try to obtain the location, which then use this data to target advertising. In addition, if the location search is often active, the battery drains faster. You can manage apps' access to location in Settings → Privacy → Location Services, where possible to perform complete or partial deactivation.

Activate dark mode

Do you own an iPhone X and later, excluding the XR, 11 and SE? If so, then you surely know that your Apple phone uses an OLED display. This type of display is characterized above all by the excellent presentation of black color, as the pixels are turned off to display it. This also results in lower battery consumption, as no power is needed to display black. By using the dark mode, you are able to get more than enough black on the iPhone screen and thus save the battery. You can activate in Settings → Display and brightness, where check Dark. Alternatively, you can turn on Automatically for automatic switching between light and dark mode.

Turn on notification summaries

It is relatively difficult to concentrate on work or studies in today's modern times. It is often enough to receive a notification on your iPhone and suddenly a quick reading of the message turns into surfing the Internet and social networks, which takes several (dozens) of minutes. Recently, however, Apple added notification summaries to iOS, in which you can set a time when all recent notifications will come to you at once. Thanks to this, you can check notifications only a few times a day and you will not be constantly glued to the iPhone display. You activate and set notification summaries in Settings → Notifications → Scheduled summary.
