Killers of the Flower Moon
Three cheers. The upcoming film Killers of the Flower Moon has been talked about for well over a year, but we still don't know much about it. Even so, Apple surprisingly announced the date of its premiere, i.e. in cinemas, where Martin Scorsese's film will go even before its presence on Apple TV+. He should make his debut on October 6 this year, which is still quite a long time away. It will be the first film from the exclusive distribution of the platform, which will first receive its theatrical distribution. It should be available in the stream before the end of the year, probably in the pre-Christmas season.
However, it is true that a preview at the Cannes festival in May is still in the works, although it has not yet been confirmed. The film was supposed to cost Apple 200 million dollars, when 10% of this amount was paid by Paramount for the fact that the film will have its premiere in theaters first. Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemmons, Lily Gladstone or the latest winner of the Oscar for Best Actor Brendan Fraser will star here.
The Savant
Apple TV+ is developing a series about a real-life, and rather mysterious, female investigator who predicts mass shootings and tries to prevent them. The series is thus named after the only available description given to this investigator. The story was first detailed in a 2019 Cosmopolitan article by Andrea Stanley titled "Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?" Starring an investigator who infiltrated online hate groups and was able to spot the signs of potential large-scale violent attacks, Jessica Chastain will be introduced. Eight episodes of the series will be directed by Matthew Heineman. The premiere date is not yet known.
